For most of these twelve elders, this is the journey of a lifetime. Decades of small monthly savings — birth-of-grandchildren gifts, modest pension portions, market profits set aside — built up to enough for what Hajj used to cost. But the package has gone up year on year. The total gap is $7,200 across all twelve travellers, covering visa fees, one-way Kabul/Mazar to Jeddah flights, accommodation in Makkah/Mina, and ground transport. Twelve families have already pledged their savings; this campaign closes the gap. The pilgrimage party departs in three weeks. We'll post photos and a thank-you message from each pilgrim on return, inshaAllah.
