Identity verification (every creator)
Every person who creates a Madad campaign uploads a government photo ID or passport — same flow for Afghans and non-Afghans. Verification runs through Sumsub. Organizations also upload their operating license and IDs for their president and vice president.
Sanctions & AML screening
Madad screens donors and beneficiaries against international watchlists via ComplyAdvantage before funds release. Afghanistan-specific OFAC and EU designations are honored. Flagged transactions go to a compliance review queue.
Payment protection
Payments flow through HesabPay's regulated rails. Every transaction generates a receipt visible in both donor and organizer dashboards. Refunds are processed by Madad and disbursed via HesabPay.
Document privacy
Identity documents and KYC photos upload directly to Wasabi object storage from the user's browser or phone — bytes never touch our servers. Access requires an authorized compliance reviewer and every access is audit-logged.
